GRANDMASTER ZEKE SISTRUNK
SELF DEFENSE SYSTEM
Grandmaster Zeke Sistrunk
In 1976 at the tender age of 7 years old I started learning Martial Arts at a Korean Karate Arts School, SIMBA DO JANG (Supreme Grandmaster Furman Marshall, Founder in 1963). Under the guidance of my late great Martial Arts Instructor, Senior Grandmaster Reggie Jackson Sr., I was advanced and skilled at an early age. I was very competitive and participated in various tournaments with the SIMBA karate team in the late 1970s & 1980s throughout the east coast. I also won numerous major championships, competed in tournaments, participated in shows, and performed demonstrations all over the United States.
While becoming more advanced and gaining experience in fighting techniques and self-defense, I was called to train in the arts of Okinawan Karate with Grandmaster Clarence Murray and Grandmaster Ali Shabbaz in the Aiki Jujitsu System. I was also blessed to receive training with Grandmaster Al Woods from Sanuces Ryu Jujitsu and Professor Lusk Penn and was promoted to (SANDAN) 3RD Degree Black Belt in the Japanese Arts.

In 1998—1999 I was inducted into the National Black Belt Hall Of Fame under the influence of Dr. Cliff Thomas, the founder of the Tae Kwon Do Ramblers. Additionally, I became a Chief Instructor during the 1990s under Dr. Cliff Thomas. In 2008, I became an inductee in the Martial Arts Hall Of Fame by Dr. Joe Parrish, Founder of the Head of Family Organization. January 2011 brought another honor when I was promoted to Rank 7th Degree Black Belt in the Martial Arts by Supreme Grand Master Furman Marshall, Founder of the Karate Club, SIMBA Do Jang. In 2014, I was inducted into the Philadelphia Historic Martial Arts Society Hall of Fame under Grand Master John Crudup. Today I have created my system called Tae Kwon Jitsu, which is a mixture of two combined styles-Tae Kwon Do & Jujitsu. This is a unique martial arts system that I worked diligently to put together. I am highly experienced in both arts. So look for these blended systems in 2014.

Grand Master Zeke is also a certified Kubotan Instructor which I prepared for a certification program in November 2015. I conducted my very first Kubotan Certified session which was a total success. From 2016 to 2018, I also was promoted to the ranks of 8th Degree, Black Belt by my Instructor Supreme Grand Master Furman Marshall. Which is a great honor. For now, I’m continuing to have multiple public events which thru-out fitness centers with nothing but success in safety workshops for men, women, & teenagers.
